My week has been so busy so far, I haven’t had much time to post. It almost feels as if I haven’t fed the dog, if I had one. I hate the feeling! However, I just had to share my favorite Emmy 2012 looks. Awards Season officially started and I am giddy with excitement!
I was thrilled to see so many blue hues, of turquoise, cobalt, seafoam, pure deliciousness! I am not sure which one was my favorite: if Julianne Hough‘s mermaid like dream gown by Georges Hobeika or Heidi Klum‘s seafoam dress by Alexandre Vauthier. I might have to chose Julianne, for stepping it up a notch. The dress was so glamorous and feminine. While I would usually pick a lighter, easier to wear, flowy dress such as Heidi’s, I think one slit would have been enough; two are a bit overdone.
My second favorite was January Jones in Zac Posen. Whimsical, geometrical, theatrical, I loved it. Her smokey eye was equally flawless.
And last, I loved the yellows, the orange and the mustard hues that inundated the red carper. I loved Ginnifer Goodwin‘s bold choice of an orange embroidered Monique Lhuillier, however Claire Danes‘ sleek yet simple yellow Lanvin dress was a refreshing surprise.
