The Cayman Islands and their Swanky Kitchen Band

Missy Farren PR has done it again! They’ve outdone themselves in another splendid press event, this time for the celebration of Caribbean Week with the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism. I was courteously invited, thus I was honored to attend. The exuberant evening, attended by special guests and esteemed journalists, was held at the GIFT NY of the Grace Hotel (125 West 45th Street), in a lively environment of cocktails, fine hors d’oeuvres and live music from the island’s own Swanky Kitchen Band.

The vibrant evening presented the concept of being Caymankind, which stands for random acts of kindness spreading around the world. The Cayman Islands representatives roamed the city streets, rewarding New Yorkers with gifts who showed kindness to one another. Another fun initiative was the Swanky Kitchen Band playing from the top of a Caymankind double decker tour bus, passing by all the major tourist attractions, as well as at the Cayman Islands press event. You can grab their latest album, Sand Dance, now available on iTunes.
