Ludovico Einaudi has been under my radar for a while now, but for some reason, recently, I have been obsessively playing his Primavera. It is peaceful, melancholic, classical music, somewhat dramatic. Not only do I love this type of music, but it significantly relaxes me.
It was a very pleasant surprise to meet Ludovico’s music again in the highly acclaimed, very moving French movie The Intouchables. I absolutely loved the movie, and the music blended exceptionally with the movie’s theme and storyline.
In the introduction, Paul McCartney’s My Valentine video was shown, featuring Natalie Portman and Johnny Depp. It’s hard to describe it, see it for yourself:
As for more Ludovico Einaudi music, Una Mattina and Fly are also some of my favorites, also soundtracks for The Intouchables.
Another song I have worn the repeat button on is Alberto Iglesias’ Me voy a morir de tanto amor. I cannot get enough of it, it is utterly divine and enrapturing!
So grab a glass of wine, close your eyes, and tune in …
Don’t miss The Intouchables at the Angelika Film Center in Soho’s Houston Street.
