In a few words, The Central Park Boathouse (entrance 72nd St and 5th Ave) is classy, romantic, unique, memorable. For 4th of July, I went to Long Beach with some Serbian friends. I was positively impressed; it had a more European look to it. It felt a bit like Barcelona, instead of Long Island NY. The extensive boardwalk, bicycles everywhere, new condominium buildings rising, all of which looking quite modern, all gave me this impression.
